Yes, I'm using a Mac, and it has a /usr/bin/clangd that comes with Xcode
(Apple's IDE).

One can use that clangd, I've done that, and it works.  But I'm actually
using the clangd from "brew install llvm", which is newer than Apple's.

The M1 chip has 8 cores, though.
