The advocacy of secret power is yet another reason to avoid Freenode.
Also, unprovoked pulling people up in public about obnoxious rules
deserves a kick IMO. It's off-topic and not helpful.
(Others: freenode is IRC but they have a long-term plan to evolve
beyond IRC [1] and ascend to a higher plane of existance [2], but then
seemed to get a bit distracted by spamming users [3] to beg for money
to pay former [5] oper mobile phone bills. [4] )
