- to permit the desk staff to input something (or "undisclosed") when booking the encounter (probably we would agree we do not want the desk staff inputting into SOAP)I'm not clear on the distinction between RFE and Subjective and AOE and assessment (at least, I'm not sure there's enough difference to warranttyping the same stuff twice)So far, I am thinking as follows: RFE serves- as something like "chief complaint" (for patient-initiated visits/encounters)
- as an indicator of the purpose or aim of the visit (for doctor-initiated visits/encounters)The Soap note contains more-extensive *details* that one would not bother to capture in the RFE as this is the purpose of the Soap narrative row.AOE serves - as a working diagnosis until it is appropriate to assign a code- even after the code is assigned, it can hold some nuance or detail not provided for in the coding table
