pycommon is a directory and not a file.
It sits in ../gnumed/client/
If you haven't got it, you are probably updating your CVS tree without the
"directory" option (update -d creates new directories during update, plain
cvs update only refreshes already existing ones but does not create new
directories)
(cvs update -d -P will prune stale empty directories as well as create new
ones)
