I try to do so and I also use the gnumed-{backup,restore}.conf
config files.  Please remove the first line (#!/bin/bash) from
gnumed-*.conf.example.  Executing this file with any
shell does not really make sense and lintian warns about:

W: gnumed-server: script-not-executable ./etc/gnumed/gnumed-backup.conf

N:   This file starts with the #! sequence that marks interpreted scripts,

I also installed a script which is executed once a day in the
