Should be "GPS receivers".   Using GPS as a noun to refer to a receiver

propagating confusion like this.

The term is used widely in the documentation.  I can run through later and make all consistent.

The key point for A-GPS is that the almanac and ephemeris are obtained
by some other communication channel that is faster; you probably should
say that explicitly.

Understood, next round of patches.  As I am new to git, I wait till these patches land in master, and send another round after that.

Separately from the docs, it is an interesting question if any of the
common chipsets can accept A-GPS data, and if it makes sense for gpsd to
have support for fetching it from someplace and squirting it in.

I have a new Navisiys 8013W, supporst BeiDou, etc.  The uBlox utility (windows only allows me to pull A-GNSS data from their server and send to the unit.  I have not tried it yet.  I do not think gpsd should do this, the TTFF for a cold start is short enough.
