Forgot to mention that the "--user" option for the PIP-based
installation process is not required. Thus, you can use the pip
install command without this option, and the packages are installed
into the Python system directory (/usr/local/python2.7/site-packages
in my case - FreeBSD). This has the added advantage of allowing a
non-privileged user to run trytond, without having write
access to the installation directory.
For installation inside the FreeBSD jail, remember to use the
"--build-dir" option to avoid fatal errors, when PIP tries to build
the packages inside the (read-only) basejail. I used
"--build-dir=/usr/local/src" with good success. The build dir can be
cleared (not deleted for future upgrades) once the PIP deed is done.
Bests,
Chris
