regex: there is a Master's thesis (somewhere...) that documents it. But
yes, it does need a major pass, especially since Jackie started to
actually use it.

secretsharing: there's Florian's Bachelor's thesis on this. I actually
see some relevance of it to long-term plans on Taler, so there is fair
chance this will be revived "when the time comes". OTOH, it's right now
dead code anyway, so no high priority at all.

auction: Oec is expected to work on that in 2023, assuming his funding
comes through. So fingers crossed.

But, as Martin said, without TNG none of this makes too much sense, and
right now TNG is a one-man's show with only t3ss making significant
contributions (and jackie helping a bit). We have a regular call on
Monday 9am on Mumble (gnunet.org) on this, so anyone who wants to get
involved, that's the slot to learn about the status quo.
