yeah.  I've often wondered about that.  when I browse groups after a 
crash, I notice that pan still knows what I was trying to download (the 
little blue arrows next to things), but none of them show back up in the 
tasks list (annoying as there is no way to tell the difference between 
"was queued before crash" and "is now queued" threads in this situation).
