I was actually writing that from a public access terminal, and while I was
writing it, I saw a little counter that showed ow the machine ate my money. So
I was a little stressed (it is amazing what stress can do for you). Right now
I am writing from a friends place and have a little more time.
As far as items are concerned:
for weapons we can have 4 types of weapons (as far as the graphical
representation is concerned). Piercing weapons (forward thrust), Slashing
weapons (swing sideways) Two Handed weapons (some kind of downwards + sideways
movement) and of couse ranged weapons. That way Ben would 'only' have to do 4
animations per character (sorry Ben). How does that sound? But then I do not
know what Ben has tried as Far as 3-D is concerned (didn't you mention
something like that at the meeting?).
actually we could have a weapon like the sword, which can be used for both
slash or thrust, doing different damage depending on how it is used...
