I fear my indirect manner of speech has misled you.  You have
counted a 'vote' for me I did not cast.

I have not adocated any change from Lynx's current behavior,
which is correct as far as specification compliance is concerned
and IMHO reasonable as layout policy.  Neither have I advocated
refusing to change.

On all other points, I would second Henry's summary of the issue.
