The logs for the third meeting of the dotGNU Authorization Working Group (dog-auth-wag, from the Savannah abbreviation: dg-auth-wg) are now available at:

http://users.ids.net/~nightspd/freport/dotgnu-auth/2002-07-21.txt

All standing members were present with the exception of fitzix and antifa. The meeting therefore covered intitial discussion on Return on Investment and basic architecture, and avoided those topics in which these two were directly involved.

The next meeting is set for Sunday July 21, 1:30 PM EST, +5 UCT. on IRC, in the #dotgnu-auth channel at OPN. Anyone who is interested in DotGNU authentication, authorization and profiles is welcome. If the time doesn't work for someone, pipe up and we'll figure something out. Next week's agenda will cover the topics:
1) webmail application target list (presentation antifa)
Antifa will present a list of currently available webmail webservices under GPL, which will benefit from incorporating DotGNU auth technology.
2) VRS presentation (alias)
VRS was on the initial list of webservices and alias will be explaining the basic concept.
2) progress report on ROI study (mds, fitzix)
mds will explain any resources he and fitzix will need for ROI investigation.
3) Network topology discussion (all)
There are differences between the network topologies of the two remaining DotGNU auth projects. These must be congealed for there to be any hope of integrating. 4) discussion of a FAQ and maintenance thereof (planning, for non-participants)
5) Savannah signup (fitzix)
voice vote to grant access to dg-auth-wg savannah CVS.

All are welcome to attend the next meeting -
