I do understand 'how it works', however I do not provide the binaries anymore. Norbert generously offered to host them on his server, that's why I asked him to remove them because I don't want him to waste his resources - it was never my intention in the first place.

It doesn't matter.  If you are providing binaries you need to distribute
source, too.  That's how the GPL works.
