The following game was a big loss for GNUGo 3.5.3 lv10 (vs go++ lv4)
Trying to understand white move 174:O13 i found some strange things

1/
after being invoked with -a -w -t , it reports the following Top moves:

Top moves:
1. N14 57.27
2. P11 57.15
3. P10 56.19
4. N13 55.95
5. O11 55.95
6. O13 54.88
7. P14 54.40
8. O14 10.43
9. N5 5.83
10. F4 2.73
Checking safety of a white move at N14
Move generation likes N14 with value 57.27
genmove() recommends N14 with value 57.27
white (O) move N14

2/after being invoked with -T it says white (O) move O13
3//just sending the GTP top_moves command also gives O13:

174 gnugo_353: = O13
= O13 57.51 N14 57.27 P11 57.14 P10 56.19 N13 55.96 O11 55.95 P14 54.41 O14
10.43 N5 5.84 F4 2.74 (*top_moves*)

GNUGo 3.4 is more logic with itself and hopefully disagrees with 3.5.3
(GNUGo 3.4 is also very faster here)

Top moves:
1. P11 19.98
2. N13 19.57
3. P10 18.84
4. O11 17.57
5. O13 9.09
6. O14 7.99
7. N14 7.40
8. N5 5.83
9. P14 5.59
10. N19 4.20
Checking safety of a white move at P11
Move generation likes P11 with value 19.98
genmove() recommends P11 with value 19.98
white (O) move P11

invoking with -T gives P11 too
GTP top_moves command gives
174 gnugo_3.4: = P11
= P11 19.98 N13 19.57 P10 18.84 O11 17.56 O13 9.09 P14 8.21 O14 7.99 N14
7.40 N5 5.84 N19 4.20 (*top_moves*)

btw ,move 58 Q17 is very strange too.(was already played by GG 3.3.16)

-------------
I should have some questions about the colored board

1-what does unchecked means ?
2-after -T (moves 174) the upper right white dragon is red colored
 (critical) .
does this evaluation concern the dragon status *before* or *after*
the move has been evaluated ? (GG3.4 shows the dragon as green )
3- using rxvt under cygwin i can't have any color while i have them
in the MS-DOS Shell window (but the dragon_status display is not visible
because the window has just 50 lines)
maybe, someone has a solution for the rxvt problem .
thanks!
md.
