A GUI confiugration tool has already been written by Hilmar Berger.
It works well, but certainly it could be made more user-friendly.

IMHO this is far too esoteric to be presented in the GUI at all.
Looking at the man page, most of these options relate to server debugging
(i.e if your debugging *postgres* itself, not even debugging gnumed)
Same goes for "port". Anyone smart enough to know how to run postgres on a
non-standard port knows how to hack the client too.
