gpsd has long been too large and complicated for anyone to grok it all.

gpsd only has one development branch, with the occasional short lived
merge request branches.  So what you see is what you get in the 
next release.

I had already called for testin for the next release, but then this, and
a few other things popped up, which I thought were to try to rush in
before the next release.

I'm working on some Skytrak stuff for gpsd, once that settles down,
I hope soon, I'll do an rc1.

I have samples of many GNSS models, but no Quectel.  Since they are
so "creative" with the NMEA spec, some samples would be helpful.
