TBH, few use that file.  I never do.  It is not part of, or
required, for gpsd.  Sometimes, for USB devices, your systed or udev
will create it for you.  Or you create it manually.

The is no "device type" to a serial device (/dev/gnss0).

Since I do not have any /dev/gnss0, I can't do that.
