The problem there, is that Alt-F4 is Windows only, and Emacs is not a
windows-only program. There is no Alt-F4 on the Mac, or on the OLPC XO
(it's reserved by the OS for something else). But in Emacs, on all of
them, there is C-x C-c.

That of course might make Alt-F4 much harder to type on those other system, but it does not prevent that on Windows some people find it easier to type ;-)
