Autofilling really is a waste of time these days.
It was useful during the days
you’d write in plain text,
keep multiple dated backups,
and then print it out as-is.
But these days we have Markdown processors / Org export,
automatic layout,
and version control systems.
It is a good idea
to stop worrying about filling the line width to a certain column
and structure text so as to minimize diff churn when you rewrite something.
