I believe BLT DOES work with tcl.tk8.5.

I was laboring to explain before. I think the Ubuntu Interpid problem 
traces back to the fact they are trying to provide blt for both 8.4 and 
8.5 at the same time, but it appears as though the newest one only 
works. In the previous Ubuntu, they accomodated 8.3 and 8.4, but we were 
only using the 8.4 part, not the 8.3 edition.

Well, I've used up one day's worth of concentration on this.
