The main thing to watch for is if the sks build process starts swapping. This
will increase your build time enormously. With 1GB of RAM, sks build usually
starts swapping on my linux boxes if started with n > 7.

IIRC, the db files contain specific disk addresses. Even copying on the same
system, e.g., setting up a test instance, will not work.
