Currently it is read three times on startup, and will warn the user that 
safemode cannot read the fuses three times. Then it will say to protect your 
AVR programming will be aborted.

I'll try to get a patch out - though I'm going to Halifax on Tuesday till 
about Friday so if you don't hear from me for a few days that's why.
