I must really start drinking decaf .. Correcting the third mistake
of the day ...

The BSD License is not the Revised BSD License popular nowadays.
The original BSD license had an "advertising" clause which is not quite
the "no other restrictions on the user" clause of GPL.

The revised BSD license does not have this problem and is GPL
compatibile -- ie a BSD licensed module can be linked with a GPL
module without violating either license (reducing the combination
to GPL).
