Very valuable advice. A DMG would ship its own python, wxpython and friends.
Preparing the DMG on a machine with a 32bit and 64bit python (supposedly the
one from python.org) and wxpython witch Cocoa (from wxpython.org) should
indeed give a working solution for end users.
Since many Macs are 64bit these days I would assume that this is even
reasonably fast to run.
