There is a bit of confusion here.

The language a piece of software is written in doesnt influence wether or
not it can released under a LGPL or GPL license.

The Free Software Foundation have every right to place conditions on
software that they give their blessing to.

GNUnet is an officaly part of the GNU project, (ref
http://savannah.gnu.org/projects/gnunet/)

It is my understanding that when gnet (the old project name) considered
becoming an official GNU app one of the things the FSF wanted was that it
not be written in java.

It has nothing to do with licences, gnet was GPL as well (i think).

If you just want an argument with someone about Java V's C, ill argue with
you, lets do it in private though.
