Big problem!

Perhaps time to be content that Emacs appeals
to certain users, and will do so even in
the future.

I guess in particular those who are appealed to
Lisp and those who look for a one-program
interface to the whole computer, and those who
enjoy and have time to do endless tweaking with
their software and want to be able to do so in
an easy and unified way...

And if it doesn't, well nothing lasts forever.
