Hmm, that sounds weird: Jaunty has version 0.4.0~pre1-1, which should be
fine. Maybe you should try to remove the PPA version by running
sudo apt-get remove libmicrohttpd5
sudo apt-get install libmicrohttpd4

And again, what does
apt-cache policy libmicrohttpd4 libmicrohttpd5
report?

Since gnunet-gtk installed, I retried gnunet and got this:

Then I remembered that gnunet is a meta package and that I have everything
installed except the all important gnunet-server, so I tried this:
sudo apt-get install gnunet-server
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
