Follow-up Comment #76, bug #31080 (group octave):

I tried to run the command using the green play button in the Editor and I was
greeted by a very explanatory dialog attached as Change_or_Add.png 

I suspect many users are switching from the Editor to the Command Window and
trying to type the name of the new command expecting that the path to the new
file was added to the load path when it was saved, like I was. 

In the Editor, it seems I have to explicitly click the Add Directory to Load
Path button to be able to execute the file.
