Follow-up Comment #77, bug #31080 (group octave):

@dennisc_hl: It is expected that the interpreter can *not* find .m file
functions that are saved at a location that is not in the load path.
This report is not about that. And imho, we shouldn't side-track this report
with a potential feature request.
If you really believe that new directories should be added to the load path
(just) because the editor is used to save to a location that doesn't happen to
be in the load path yet, please open a separate feature request.

Testing whether new files in the *load path* are found more reliably now would
still be appreciated.
