Hello,

It seems like they're focusing entirely on creating a .Net
compatible platform. Mono (spanish for 'monkey' - who'd have guessed?) is
going to be a C# compiler, class collection, and runtime/JIT environment
for C#/CLI/CIL/CLR....

I really think that we should coordinate with them, our two projects only
overlap in the compatibility areas and if they can take care of that while
we focus on the auth system and other essential hailstorm replacements,
then we may actually have something of a chance.

Incidentally, they say that they won't be ready with anything usable for a
year. And, they mentioned that they were researching GNU lightning
(http://www.gnu.org/software/lightning/lightning.html) and this looks like
soemthing that we can use.

A key here is that they're focusing almost entirely on C# cloning and they
want other people to port other languages/components to the framework.
There's still going to be a LOT of work to be done on the other language
components in order to attract developers.
