I do not understand what you mean, sorry. 

So for example :
On day 1 I do a full backup,
On day 2 an incremental without error
On day 3 an incremental with some error
On day 4 an incremental without error 

I supposed that restoring a file of the backup set could be possible for
day 1,2 and 4 day but not for 3.

The day 4 restored version will be incomplete, due to the failed day 3
inc, but for the remaining part more or less readable.

Is this the real situation or are you saying that if day 3 inc fail you
cannot restore the file anymore after day 3, cause the restore op exit
without results, so you loose the file?
