Nothing hapens except that xset q now believes that dpms is enabled.

Same results to me, except that I did not yet try the modem. But I read about
it. I worked on IrDA for a few hors and didn't get it to work, neither in
SIR nor in FIR mode. I get a /dev/ttyS1 if I enable the SIR mode in BIOS but
my phone doen't show any reaction when I write something to it.
