Thats right. And quess what: your downloads (not only from the donkey
network) could be much faster if you have a faster uplink (even with
the same downlink!)

But too few people know this....BTW: here in germany a SDSL link
(synchonous dsl - up=downlink) costs twelve times as much as a
standard adsl line...
Here the main isp doesnt want anyone to be capable of running a server
of any type on a dialup line (what *usefull* server can run with 16k up?)
If you want to you have to pay extra for it....

Did anyone in this thread said he had a 1.5mbit adsl line in germany?
AFAIK this is not even offered in combination with a flat rate....
poor country!
