Why? Nice OSs don't go down. I use Fedora 11, a geeky, "unstable" OS, with Gnome, and here's my stats:
10:04:43 up 23 days, 17:51, 2 users, load average: 1.22, 0.91, 0.72And, I might add, I have an nVidia graphics card, meaning a binary blob for the driver. If I were you, I'd be complaining to the KDE people and telling them to fix their software.
