Grazie del link, guarderò. Per il momento però ho installato i driver per la X1800 reperibili sul sito di ATI e installabili automaticamente. Funzionicchiano, nel senso che adesso la risoluzione è ok e quindi per il momento mi basta così, non credo di aver bisogno di potenziare al massimo la scheda. Quanto al wireless, questo è il modello: Intel® Wireless LAN 
802.11a/b/g. Non mi pare dia molte informazioni. Se riesco contatto direttamente HP, visto che nella scheda su Internet è scritto che come sistema operativo c'è anche SuSE Enterprise.

Per quanto riguarda bluetooth e, soprattutto, lettore di impronte digitali, per il momento lasciamo perdere.

Un'altra questione: visto che anche il mouse non è il massimo, nel senso che vorrei che il touchpad mi permettesse di scorrere le pagine scorrendo il dito sul bordo destro come su Ubuntu, ho pensato che potrei copiare brutalmente /etc/X11/xorg.conf di Ubuntu su Slackware. Ma ho un po' di dubbi, soprattutto circa l'effettiva locazione dei file di device (tipo: il touchpad Ubuntu me lo mette in /dev/psaux. Slackware?). Un'altra perplessità è anche l'assenza di un... qualcosa che dica che la mia scheda video è una ATI, nonostante su Ubuntu i driver siano installati.
