I'm happy to announce that the latest release of monotone, 0.21, is
now available at http://venge.net/monotone/ . As always, more
packages will become available as contributors send them in.
Everyone using 0.20 is highly recommended to upgrade; this is
primarily a bugfix release, to correct a number of major performance
bugs in 0.20's netsync (especially noticeable with large
repositories), and a number of correctness bugs in 0.20's rewritten
cvs_import command. It also includes a workaround for the problems
many people experienced trying to build with g++ 4.0.
Other improvements include the addition of --exclude and --set-default
options to netsync commands, enhancements to the 'diff' command,
globbed matching for b: and t: selectors, improved performance on many
operations, and others. Full information is available in the NEWS
file, attached.
Upgrading is straightforward; a 'db migrate' is required, but working
copies and netsync are fully compatible between 0.20 and 0.21. Bugs
and other problems may be reported to address@hidden
Enjoy.
