I can't help with that, unfortunately.

Lars and many other users have asked for them in the past.  If you
search for ``XInput'' in this list's archives, you will see people
asking for them as far back as 2016.

But currently, we are essentially relying on one person (or nobody at
all) to develop each of the ports in existence.  And most recent
significant C-level features in Emacs _are_ being developed by one
single person: Bidi reordering, native compilation, threads, et cetera.
In many of these cases, the features are related to a subject in which
only one Emacs developer specializes.

If we waited for two or more people to show up, nothing would ever get
done!
