Once again:

  . there are jobs that we _must_ do, whatever the costs and the
    risks, and there are jobs that we can decide not to do
  . having problems in some parts of Emacs development doesn't mean we
    should add one more, if we don't have to

If we keep disregarding these simple truisms, this discussion will
have a lot of useless repetitions.  So let's be focused, and let's try
not to waste time on irrelevant aspects of this.
