The outcome's negotiable.

Look at it this way, the name dotgnu is in the public consciousness
now.  We may initially be tied to mono in that way, but the FSF press
release didn't even mention the site address (which is both good and
bad)...

However, we could not have been mentioned at all - which would make us
look like we were trying to follow in mono's footsteps.  Since the exact
nature of this project is so cryptic, when something DOES come out about
what we're actually doing, it should be relatively big.

So, we have to look at this as a good thing that the FSF considered our
existance so early and that our name will have stand-by-the-side
recognition with mono.  There are quite a few ways to spin these things,
we need to come up with some.
