The difference is that there is a particular evil agenda behind
Microsoft's pushing of C# and the rest of .NET, an agenda which
is furthered by everyone who carelessly endorses C# and/or .NET
without explicitly opposing those parts of .NET which are evil.

That said, let's please stop posting anti-Mono rants here, at
least until there is something substantially new to say.  I
think that in those areas where it is fair to criticise Mono,
enough criticism has been posted.  On top of that, some of the
recent criticism against Mono has IMO been unfair -- that really
ought to stop.  My friends, let's please be very careful to
avoid any unfair criticism of anyone.

Finally, copyleft or not, Mono really seems to be doing a good
job on the higher-level C# class libs, which the DotGNU project
also intends to use -- another reason why a continuation of the
DotGNU vs Mono bickering really makes no sense IMHO.
