There is no reason why the emule-developers should do this.
Look at it this way:

(all following figures are fictive)

Think of 1000 emules and 30 mldonkeys. If the emules have 10 slots and
reserve a slot for mldonkey they lose 10% (1 slot less to connect to for
every emule) of the emule-slots they can connect to. And in exchange they
each get 10% of the mldonkeys, that's 0,03 slots for every emule to connect
to.

We would give away 1 slot, too, but get 33,3 slots in exchange.



I don't think the emule-community would be that caritative ;)
